Heat Press Features and Benefits
Thicker Platens
All heat presses available at Beacon Graphics have large platens that are up to ¾" thick. In addition to superior heat retention, this also prevents application mistakes when you switch from printing a thin t-shirt to a heavy weight fleece sweatshirt. The thickness of your garment can easily make the pressure readout change several numbers. Most people don't realize this and don't make the adjustment in the press when switching garment types.
Digital time and temperature controls
Make sure you can set and know the exact temperature for all your applications. Guesswork costs money and leads to ruined transfers.
Interchangeable platens
Certain models offer a variety of interchangeable platens. No tools are needed to change platens. By changing out platens, you can use the same heat press to easily do a wide variety of items besides T-shirts - everything from tote bags to youth garments and sleeves.
Teflon® Coated upper platen
All presses from Beacon Graphics come with a Teflon® coated upper platen. With this feature, employees can literally wipe off the press while it's still warm. When you've put a transfer on upside down, this is handy to have.
